With Windows 8's support period ending earlier this year, the only remaining officially supported Windows versions are Windows 10 and Windows 11. The end of life date for the former is set to October 14, 2025.
Considering that it took over six years for Windwos 11 to be released, a lot of computers will likely still be running it when the support period finally ends. We might end up with a similar situation to that of Windows XP, which a large numbers of computers, including those operated by businesses, were running up until around 2017, with some still running XP to this day.
